Study programme’s generic objectives

 

Medicine is being transformed by the increasing role of engineering, physics, and mathematics at the level of diagnostics and therapeutics. Our three-year course aims to prepare engineers to make a contribution in strategic areas of the job market related to medicine and healthcare.

A broad foundation in natural sciences and engineering is complemented with a range of modules in more applied subjects such as:

  • Instrumentation
  • Biomedical Signal Processing
  • Medical Physics
  • Biomechanics
  • Biomaterials
  • Biomechatronics

A sound and interdisciplinary approach, at the interface between engineering and medicine, was designed to prepare students to enter jobs in the fast evolving field of biomedical engineering.
