This CU intends to stimulate the student to:

a) apply the concepts of the energy sector and climatic policy;
b) participate in the definition of policies and strategic management about the energy sector and also the corresponding environmental sector;
c) to perform research regarding energy and its links to the environmental sector;
d) contribute to the development and utilization of research tools for an integrated analysis of energy and environmental sectors considering sustainable development and its recent developments regarding market regulation, companies organization and development of public policies;
e) describe the theoretical concepts related to the energy economics and the environment;
f) to understand the existing links between economics, environment and climate policies;
g) to analyse the main factors regarding behaviour of the main agentes in the energy markets.
