Intended learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this course will:

  1. Learn the radio propagation mechanisms that condition the mobile networks planning and optimization process.
  2. Explain planning and optimization techniques for 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th generation mobile networks.
  3. Apply the acquired knowledge to the design of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th generation mobile networks.
  4. Compare typical characteristics of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th generation mobile networks equipment and subsequent choice of most suitable topologies.
  5. Use and develop specific software for mobile networks planning and optimization tools.
  6. Create project reports.
