On May 7, 2025, ISEL's Civil Engineering undergraduate students made a technical visit to the National Civil Engineering Laboratory (LNEC), as part of the course's curricular activities.

The visit began with a brief institutional presentation, followed by a guided tour of several research and testing centers, namely:

Water Resources and Hydraulic Structures Unit (Hydraulics and Environment Department),

Ports and Maritime Structures Unit (Hydraulics and Environment Department),

Seismic Engineering and Structural Dynamics Center (Structures Department).

The activity was accompanied by professors Maria do Carmo Conde and Maria Idália Gomes, both from the Civil Engineering Department (DEC) at ISEL.

ISEL would like to thank Dr. Daniela Ferreira (LNEC) for her availability and collaboration, who accompanied the entire visit, as well as Engineers Sílvia Amaral (DEC/ISEL professor), Luís Silva and Fernando Oliveira (LNEC), who kindly presented and explained the work developed in their respective centers
