Intended learning outcomes
The main objective of the curricular unit of Engineering Physics Workshops 2 is to familiarize students with the use of a low cost open-source electronic prototyping platform (EPP), such as the Arduino platform. It also seeks to highlight the usefulness of the EPPs in the creation of systems that simultaneously allow the reading and acquisition of data coming from sensors, and its processing by computer applications (Python or MATLAB).
In this context, after approval in this curricular unit, the student should be able to:
- Perform measurements of electrical quantities using an EPP;
- Program an EPP to receive and process data from different types of sensors;
- Develop a data acquisition system based on an EPP;
- Articulate the use of EPPs with other computational tools in order to develop a computer application for data processing.
