Intended learning outcomes

At the end of this subjects the students should be able to:

  1. Understand the central role of medical imaging technologies in personalized and precision’s medicine.
  2. Hold essential knowledge about quantification and handling, based on analytical imaging parameters, to complement the clinical diagnostic.
  3. Understand how the properties of biological tissues, through medical imaging, interact in the production of large amounts of analytical data to perception the relationship between structure and function of living tissues to support to best clinical decision.
  4. Know the capabilities of medical imaging, for measurement, quantification and analysis of intrinsic parameters that, beyond the simple reproduction of the image, allow determining the composition of in vivo biophysical tissue properties.
