Intended learning outcomes

This course aims to develop in the students skills that combine theoretical knowledge in the context of artificial intelligence and cognitive systems, with the ability to apply that knowledge to solve complex problems in different fields of application, namely, for the development of systems with high operation autonomy. Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  1. Understand and describe the theoretical foundations underlying the development of intelligent systems, as  well as the main types of models and architectures of intelligent systems;
  2. Address complex problems and propose solutions to these problems based on artificial intelligence concepts and technologies;
  3. Develop artificial intelligence solutions for different areas of application, in particular for systems with high operation autonomy;
  4. Assess and develop innovative approaches for developing artificial intelligence solutions.
