Mathematics is one of the fundamental foundations of the kind of professional who is always in high demand on the job market, and ISEL has the knowledge and know-how to train such professionals. In addition to a solid education in mathematics, our students have the effective skills to apply it to concrete problems. The Department of Mathematics trains ISEL students in the mathematical concepts and methods necessary for the technical-scientific development of many areas in our society: engineering, natural sciences, medicine, economics, finance, and social sciences.

The mission of the Department of Physics (DoP) is to equip engineering students with a solid background in physics, as well as the scientifically-underpinned ability to think critically, through the provision of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Our strongly laboratory-based courses are designed to develop the technical and scientific skills required by future engineers.

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (DQBE) fosters the transmission of state-of-the-art knowledge in fields that are crucial to the progress of our society, examples of which include the biomedical, pharmaceutical, food related, and environmental.

The Department of Electronical Engineering, Telecommunications and Computers (DEETC) creates and imparts state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of Electronics, Telecommunications and Computer Engineering – knowledge that is essential in the development of an increasingly digital society.
