Recebeu o título de doutor em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina, Brasil, em 2021, e um segundo título de doutor em Informática e Inteligência Artificial pela Universidade de Udine, Itália, em 2025. Foi investigador do Centro de Indústria Digital da Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Itália, e investigador sênior de pós-doutorado da Faculdade de Engenharia e Ciências Aplicadas da Universidade de Regina, Canadá. Atualmente, é professor adjunto no Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa do Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, na área de Engenharia da Informática. Seus interesses de pesquisa incluem sistemas de energia elétrica, aprendizado profundo, visão computacional e previsão de séries temporais.

Received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 2021, and a second Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Udine, Italy, in 2025. He was a researcher for the Digital Industry Center of Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Italy, and a post-doctoral fellow researcher for the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science of the University of Regina, Canada. Currently, he is an adjunct professor at the Lisbon Higher Institute of Engineering of the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute, in the field of Computer Engineering. His research interests include electrical power systems, deep learning, computer vision, and time series forecasting.
