Intended learning outcomes

The students that successfully finish this curricular unit will be able to:

  1. Interpret the legal and regulatory provisions involving the ITED and ITUR design professional activity;
  2. Define the foundations and basic concepts on telecommunications services provided by access networks;
  3. Describe the principles of operation of, analog and digital, telecommunication technologies to voice, video and data transport;
  4. Identify the telecommunications infrastructure requirements and conditions;
  5. Design telecommunication infrastructures in buildings (ITED);
  6. Design telecommunications infrastructures of housing developments, urban settlements and concentrations of buildings (ITUR);
  7. Prepare all documentation and as-built components of ITED and ITUR Design;
  8. Plan and execute compliance tests on telecommunication infrastructures, in accordance with applicable standards;
  9. Analyze tests results and identify potential nonconfomities;
  10. Supervise and inspect telecommunication infrastructure installations.
