Intended learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this course should be able to:

  1. Know a broad set of real functions and use them in engineering.
  2. Parametrize lines in 2D.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of the concepts of differential calculus applied to engineering. 4. Understand the concepts of integral calculus.
  4. Use integral calculus to solve engineering problems.
  5. Formulate and apply numerical integration methods to solve engineering problems.
  6. Know how to solve analytically and numerically ordinary differential equations used in the modeling of natural phenomena.
  7. Work with basic python programs.
  8. Solve exercises and seek help when you can not solve them.
  9. Have weekly study habits.
  10. Understand how mathematics is useful to solve real problems of a LEIM engineer.
