Intended learning outcomes

Upon approval in the course of Laboratory Techniques, the student should be able to:

  1. Carry out bibliographic research in scientific sources and know several methodologies of bibliographic citation;
  2. Know and apply the safety procedures in a chemistry laboratory;
  3. Identify and accurately handle material and equipment;
  4. Introduce essential unit operations and classic analysis techniques;
  5. Plan, interpret and execute experimental protocols;
  6. To carry out the rigorous and objective registration of the procedures and experimental results in the laboratory notebook;
  7. Characterize and evaluate the purity of compounds using analytical techniques;
  8. Exhibit critical spirit in the analysis and interpretation of experimental and analytical results;
  9. Use appropriate tools in the design of chemical structures and graphs presentation;
  10. Prepare scientific reports with suitable scientific accuracy.
