Intended learning outcomes
  1. Interpret and analyse the adsorption phenomena occurring at the surface of porous materials, the kinetics of simple and complex chemical and biological reactions and the energetic aspects of electrochemical processes in equilibrium state.
  2. Study the molecular movement and transport properties in biological and chemical processes.
  3. Relate the macroscopic properties with the properties of molecules and atoms, particularly for macromolecules (natural and synthetic), polymers, membranes, and other materials.
  4. Integrate the basic concepts in both theoretical and applied perspectives. Illustrate the fundamental concepts with case studies.
  5. Apply the learned concepts to the resolution of qualitative and numeric problems.
