Intended learning outcomes
  1. Know the mathematical formulation of a linear programming (LP) problem and its main forms of presentation.
  2. Identify real-life models associated to LP.
  3. Solve simple problems of LP through the graphical method.
  4. Understand and apply the Simplex method.
  5. Understand the duality theory and identify situations for which the swap to the dual problem leads to an easier resolution of LP problems.
  6. Perform a sensitivity analysis.
  7. Solve integer programming problems.
  8. Use computational tools to solve larger LP problems.
  9. Apply reflection and criticism on the obtained results.
  10. Implement the correct method in the resolution of a given problem.
