2. To compute the free‐surface evolution along open and closed sections in steady uniform and non‐uniform open‐channel flows

5. To compute groundwater flow‐level drawdown relations
6. To describe the different hydraulic machines (pumps and turbines) and characterize their working conditions
7. To analyse both qualitatively and quantitatively hydraulic transients in pipes.
