Intended learning outcomes
  1. Develop the skills of structural mechanics necessary to solve problems of analysis of isostatic structures, through the introduction of theoretical concepts and practical methodologies for current applications.
  2. Acquire skills for the analysis of hyper‐static structures by studying the principles of the behaviour of plane frame structures and applying the method of forces and displacements for their calculation. It is assumed that the loads on the structures are independent of time, that they cause small displacements and deformations and that the behaviour of the material is elastic and linear.
