Intended learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

  1. Recognise the full-custom technologies used in the development of CMOS integrated circuits.
  2. Understand the issues related to the basic electronic components - transistor, resistor, capacitor, and inductor: physical implementation; use in circuits; and characterisation for the design.
  3. Apply the design techniques: specification, characterization, modelling, verification and simulation at various levels.
  4. Mastering the design tools and the design flow of the project tasks.
  5. Design a custom integrated circuit.
