Intended learning outcomes

This course provides an introduction to the design using additive distributed manufacturing using 3D printing on a theoretical and practical development approach. (i) Developing creativity and design, (ii) addressing the technological evolution of 3D printing focusing on (iii) development, innovation, performance improvement, design and material selection. It will cover the entire production cycle from design, software and printer software for operation and manufacturing. Finally, the (iv) properties, applications and ramifications of the software technology will be discussed. (v) At the end, students will be able to design, model, choose materials and fabricate functional parts.
