Intended learning outcomes
The students that successfully finish this curricular unit will be able to:
- Describe the basic issues and problems in current trends of mobile networking;
- Explore the strengths and limitations of different types of RAN;
- Explain the mechanisms for supporting mobility and radio resource management in cellular networks;
- Analyse the performance of different handover, roaming, and location update algorithms for cellular networks;
- Develop an attitude to propose solutions with comparisons for problems related to mobile networking through investigation of different protocols and mobile networks.
