Intended learning outcomes

This curricular provides students with optimization tools to solve real logistics problems.
By successfully completing this unit, students should be able to:

  1. Understand the fundamental concepts of Graph Theory;
  2. Understand the fundamental methods related to Optimal Paths;
  3. Know how and why to use dynamic programming to solve problems;
  4. Know how to use scheduling methods to schedule a set of tasks or activities appropriately for a specific project;
  5. Understand the fundamental methods to determine the Maximum Flow in a Network;
  6. Understand the fundamental methods related with traveling salesman problems;
  7. Understand the fundamental methods related with transport and distribution problems.
