Nuno Cruz demonstrates the LoRa Lisbon network at the Portugal Smart Cities Summit

On the past November 16, in the framework of the   event Portugal Smart Cities Summit,   the Nuno Cruz docent (DEETC/ISEL and FIT/ISEL) held a presentation titled "Call yourself the network LoRa de Lisboa"   at the Lisbon City Hall stand (CML).

On the past November 16, in the framework of the   event Portugal Smart Cities Summit,   the Nuno Cruz docent (DEETC/ISEL and FIT/ISEL) held a presentation titled "Call yourself the network LoRa de Lisboa"   at the Lisbon City Hall stand (CML).

Within the framework of the multidisciplinary partnership between the FIT/ISEL working group and CML, the result of the creation of an open, LoRa-based network for the municipality of Lisbon has been presented.

This network beyond supporting the different verticals of a smart city, holds that any individual can also use it to connect their IoT devices to their applications, through a long-range, free network for all, thus promoting the innovation environment that has come to feel in Lisbon.

This cooperation with CML is more a result of a long partnership that has had start in 2016 of which other projects have emerged as the link to the Lisbon Smart Management Platform, the Integrated Operation Centre, the pilot of the utilization of LoRa for municipal waste, formations in the area of Cyber-security the network of critic communications for the Monsanto Joint Operations Room, among others.
