Description:

This project aims to develop a Platform for the integrated multimodal management of LRTs and buses, providing multimodal regulation and optimized connections management between different transportation modes (rail, buses, river passenger ships, micro-mobility, etc.) and real-time information for passengers, allowing a seamless journey. The platform will make available the following functionalities:

  • Light Rail Transport (LRT) fleet management
  • Bus fleet management, including electrical buses
  • Multimodal regulation (LRT and buses)
  • Real-time interface with other transportation modes 
  • Operational dashboards
  • Creation, simulation, and management of demand-responsive transportation (DRT) services
  • Optimized connection management (railway, LRT, buses, DRT lines, river passenger, etc.)
  • Driver management
  • Operational data analysis, e.g.:

          o Visualization of different operational parameters, per line, service, transportation mode, vehicle, etc.;
          o Simulation and optimization of the metro/LRT operation, bus operation and multimodal;
          o Prediction of network behaviour to forecast traffic and passenger flow, helping decision making (operational scenarios);
          o Simulation of traffic flow for optimization;
          o Data analysis to predict and anticipate traffic flows and the impact on user/passenger journeys, providing users with options to complete their journeys,

  • LRT depot management system (allocations, operational changes during the day, programmed movements, destination/parking, technical preparation management, vehicle maintenance, driver management, management of non-scheduled occurrences);
  • Bus depot management system (allocations, operational changes during the day, programmed movements, destination/parking, technical preparation management, vehicle maintenance, driver management, management of non-scheduled occurrences);
  • Management of seamless integration of electrical vehicles in the fleet and charging management, according to different optimized operational scenarios;
  • Real-time passenger information, including journey planning;
  • Incident management;
  • Simulation and operation replay, for auditing and training purposes;
  • Infrastructure monitoring (technical supervision);
  • Eco-driving module for railway and buses.
