Intended learning outcomes

The all over goal is to equip the student with the capability to analyze and develop interactive systems based on sensors and actuators and controlled by a microcontroller. Knowledge and competences to be developed are:

  1. Know to analyze resistances in networks (serial and parallel topologies) and know basic electric components;

  2. Know fundamental electrical entities and laws and their use in linear circuit analysis;

  3. Know and use laboratory technics (breadboarding, multimeter dc measurements);

  4. Know transducers (sensors and actuators) resp. characteristics; and their integration into circuits and testing;

  5. Know microcontroller and their use in signal acquisition and control and for data processing; know C/arduino language and program and test applications;

  6. Know ac signals and their analysis, generate TTL signals, measure with oscilloscope and test with actuators;

  7. Know UML type modelling (activity and state diagrams) and use for interactive system development;
