Intended learning outcomes
The students must lean a set of subjects in order to be able to evaluate and propose solutions, in order to minimize environmental impacts.
Therefore, the students must:
- Know the Portuguese and the European Community legislation, regarding the environment;
- Propose measures to improve the environmental performance of the current activities;
- Establish goals for achieving those improvement measures;
- Measure the efficiency of those measures;
- Collaborate in the development of environmental management policies;
- Evaluate relevant environmental impacts;
- Develop policies to reduce energy and water consumption as well as other natural resources;
- Monitor environmental audits;
- Monitor and develop programs of environmental certification;
- Analyse case studies;
- Evaluate case studies.
